Sabrina Dhowre Elba is an actress, activist and model. Born in Canada, of Somali descent, she was appointed UN Goodwill Ambassador for the International Fund for Agricultural Development in April 2020. She also works with a variety of civil society organizations, including Conservation International, on environmental issues. She is passionate about gender equality and promoting the empowerment of women and girls worldwide. She has championed the Somali Hope Foundation through the selection of SHF as a beneficiary of the 2021 #WALKAMILEINMYSHOES campaign. As a recent visitor to the school she can speak to its progress.
